Lake Forest California and Its History
Well before there were any Lake Forest dentist offices and even before the area was known as Lake Forest, the town was known to the locals as El Toro. Long ago, a fellow named Jose Serrano was granted the land by the Mexican government. In turn, it was passed down to a landowner named Dwight Whitling. Right at the beginning of the 1900s, Whitling planted 400 acres of Eucalyptus groves through the area. These Eucalyptus trees is the “forest” from which the later named Lake Forest would be coined. Whitling was also crucial in brining the Santa Fe rail line through the area.
El Toro Road and the I-5 Freeway was at the center of the area. Consequently, it supported some of Lake Forest’s first settlers in the late 19th century. However, growth wasn’t always stead. There was a period of economic deterioration around the 1970s. As a result, many businesses and shops left to move to other cities. Eventually, the city developed the “Arbor at Lake Forest” commercial district that brought new life to the town.
In 1991 residents of the then Del Toro community decided that the name of their commercial district, Lake Forest, sounded better than Del Toro. A group of long-time residents complained that they new residents wanted to erase the towns history and rename it after the man-made lakes that were constructed to sell condos in the area.
Finally, as more and more people moved into the now thriving economic community, the area became commonly referred to as Lake Forest. In 1995 a subsidy of the Panasonic corporation opened its doors in Lake Forest California, called Panasonic Avionics Corp. This was the first major big tech company to come to the area. And with it came a large number of high-paying jobs. Currently Panasonic Avionics is Lake Forest’s top employer.

Lake Forest Dental Group offers emergency dental services as well as most general dentistry and orthodontic services as well as teledentistry – virtual screenings.
The staff includes a dentist, periodontist, two oral surgeons, an orthodontist and an endodontist. There seems to be a number of bad reviews on both google and yelp all saying the customer service of this office seems to be a bit lacking.
Lake Forest Modern Dental
Lake Forest Modern Dental is located on Rockfield Blvd and has much better reviews on Google and Yelp with five stars out of 5 across the board. On their home page, Modern Dental claims they “will bend over backwards” for their customers and will even adjust their office hours to meet their needs. Lake Forest Modern Dental offers emergency dental services, dental implants, Invisalign products, veneers and cosmetic dentistry as well as all other family dentistry services.
Dental Magic OC
Dental Magic OC is another Lake Forest dentist office, located on Lake Forest Drive. While the name seems catchy to us, it also hints at dental results that may be a bit to far reaching. Dental Magic OC has great reviews on google with all five stars but comes up a bit short in Yelp with 4 out of five stars. Although, it seems that the bad reviews on Yelp are mostly people who seem to be mad at Dental Magic for being told they have cavities. The main dentist operating out of Dental Magic is Dr. Sandra Rodriguez who has over 20 years of experience in her field. Dental Magic OC offers braces and Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry and sedation and sleep dentistry.
Mozhagan Molkara, DDS
Mozhgan Molkara DDS has a Lake Forest dentist office on El Toro Road. Doctor Molkara’s office doesn’t have the best reviews with only 3 out of 5 stars and Google but with 4.5 out of 5 on Yelp. Molkara has a very basic website with very limited content. The services offered include general family dentistry, preventative dentistry, crowns, root canals and custom sport mouthpieces. Some of the reviews share stories of botched root canals and dental fillings that fell out the very next day.
