General Sedation Dentistry

General dental sedation, also known as general anesthesia, is a type of sedation dentistry that puts the patient in a deep state of relaxation and unconsciousness. In other words, you’re asleep for your procedure and do not feel any pain or anxiety while we perform your dental work.

City Dental Centers provides general sedation dentistry for our patients at our offices in West Covina California, Pico Rivera California, Lake Forest California, Montclair California, Corona California, and Azusa California.

IV Sedation Dentistry

Similar to general sedation dentistry, IV sedation dentistry involves the introduction of chemical sedatives into the bloodstream in order to put you to sleep for your procedure. Unlike regular sleep, when you’re sedated with an IV drip, you won’t dream and won’t wake up until after your procedure is completed.

City Dental Centers provides IV sedation dentistry for our patients at our offices in West Covina California, Pico Rivera California, Lake Forest California, Montclair California, Corona California, and Azusa California.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide sedation, the use of the N02 (known casually as laughing gas), is a safe and effective anesthetic when mixed with oxygen. Unlike general sedation and IV sedation, nitrous oxide sedation is primarily used for calming nerves and relaxation. Expect a general body-wide sense of numbness and lightheadedness while still remaining awake and able to interact with your dentist during the operation.

City Dental Centers provides nitrous oxide sedation for anxious or fearful patients in West Covina California, Pico Rivera California, Lake Forest California, Montclair California, Corona California, and Azusa California.

Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation is a simplistic method of dental sedation whereby the sedative is taken orally. This makes it an extremely convenient and popular option for any patients who aren’t in need of complete sedation but who may be afraid of needles or who get claustrophobic wearing masks. During oral conscious sedation, you’ll be placed into a state of calm and deep relaxation, similar to that of a light nap.

City Dental Centers offers oral conscious sedation dentistry at our dentist offices in West Covina California, Pico Rivera California, Lake Forest California, Montclair California, Corona California, and Azusa California.
